    Learn to sing with MusicACT's Best Vocal Artist of 2013! --- I specialise in teaching beginner to intermediate students of all ages to find their confidence and talent for singing. No matter what your skill level, I can help you make your vocal ideal a reality. I can help you to do this in two main ways. The first is to help you build your vocal technique. This means learning how you can use your body to support your voice, regardless of the song or the style you want to sing in, in healthy ways that preserve your vocal apparatus. The second is to help you clarify and brighten up your imagination for pitch. It'ss very difficult for anyone to sing a melody that they can't first imagine but, if you can imagine, vividly, all your notes and sing them out with great technique, you'll begin to really love your voice and grow in confidence to sing on your own and in front of others. I often use my own home studio recording facilities as a tool for helping interested students reflect on their pitching and technique, and to record demos for students who have written their own songs. I love choral music, especially in the renaissance style, and I specialise in helping my students to hear and sing harmonies. Pricing starts from $25 per half-hour lesson. --- I am a university Honours graduate with extensive experience singing on stage. I have contributed to numerous musical projects in Canberra and Melbourne, experimenting with genres from jazz to pop to electronica. In 2012 I received the ACT Young Artists' Startup Grant to fund the launch my band's debut album, and in 2013 I was awarded MusicACT's Best Vocal Artist of 2013. I am also experienced in recording and production and I operate my own small private studio. I was classically trained under Australian opera singer, Michelle Greig, and have also studied modern singing methods such as the Estil method and Kristin Linklater's Freeing the Natural Voice technique.
