Jonny Taitz is a Specialist General Paediatrician in private practice and at Royal North Shore Hospital. Jonny is also Director of Patient Safety at the NSW Clinical Excellence Commission. Jonny has built up a successful general paediatric practice looking after children with both complex and simple medical issues. Jonny has an interest in feeding problems in the first year of life. Jonny welcomes new referrals from all over Sydney and NSW. Jonny is a Senior National Examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Paediatricians, he is a Conjoint Senior Lecturer at the University of NSW and is on the editorial board of the British Medical Journal Quality and Safety. Jonny is the author of the Australian Kids Health Book: The Essential A-Z Guide to Emergencies, Baby Care and Common Childhood Illnesses. Jonny did his paediatric training at Red Cross Children's Hospital in Cape Town and at Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick where he then worked as a Consultant Paediatrician and Assistant Director of Clinical Operations. Jonny was Director of Medical Services at Royal North Shore Hospital. Jonny was awarded a Harkness Fellowship in quality and safety and spent a year at Harvard Medical School, Boston. Jonny is a director of MedEarth, is immediate past Chairperson of the SMILE Foundation and was a long standing board member and Vice Chairperson of the Humpty Dumpty Foundation.
