The Amitabha Foundation runs meditation courses, weekly drop-in sessions for private meditation and prayer in our beautiful shrine room (a former church), study groups for those wishing to explore Buddhist methods of increasing our loving kindness and peace of mind, and special meditation sessions based on visualisation and chanting Buddha Amitabha mantra. These activities are all offered on a donation basis. We also host teaching visits by our Spiritual Director, His Eminence Choje Ayang Rinpoche. Rinpoche is a senior Drikung Kagyu lama renowned for his mastery of special meditation methods associated with the Tibetan Book of the Dead. We also offer Buddhists and non-Buddhists alike the opportunity of becoming involved in innovative development projects in remote far east Tibet/far west China. These include a dairy development project designed to benefit nomadic farmers, women's health initiatives, and educational projects.
