For the past fifteen years as a relationship counsellor, parenthood researcher (and a wife and mother!), I've found that expecting and new parents go through eight stages of becoming a family. I'd like to prepare you for the stages so you can expect how each will unfold, how to cope with the challenges and be free to celebrate the joys in each one, and be able to support each other as both partners and co-parents.
