There are many auberges in France, almost every village has one. They are strongly influenced by the local culture and we have been inspired by Braidwood's history, people and produce to create one here. For us, L'Auberge represents the enjoyment of a shared meal. There could not be another name for our first restaurant. Built circa 1850 as a dwelling for the postmaster it has been used as an Inn for a long time. Transformed in a restaurant in the 80's it has been known as Torpy's and later The Bridge Inn. Now, it is L'Auberge - "The Inn" in French ... Your chef shares some recipes from his home region in the east of France, Franche Comte - it is renowned for its white wines, (Vin Jaune, Vin de Paille, Savagnin sous voile) and cheeses (Comte, Mont d'Or, Morbier), and will also prepare specialties from other regions of the world. The weekly selection of seasonal dishes features some classics but also new flavors to discover. The menu depends on our seasonal supplies, what we feel like eating, the wind... - Opening Hours:
