Tai Chi Chuan is an internal martial art which originated in China. Gentle movements of Tai Chi Chuan are designed to adapt to the flexibility and fitness level of any participant, gradually increasing strength, stamina and flexibility. Movements of Tai Chi Chuan are designed in accordance with principles of Chinese medicine and have many health benefits, such as reduced muscle tension, improved posture, better blood circulation, balance, stability, co-ordination, ease of movement and faster injury recover. Tai Chi Chuan is a martial art that does not use force or aggression, instead relying on the relaxation, accuracy and using the principle of yin-yang. Students who work on their inner awareness are able to effortlessly neutralize an opponent's attack, find the weakness, and unbalance the opponent using minimum effort. We focus on detailed understanding of movement and self-defence principles of Tai Chi Chuan. All Sing Ong Tai Chi instructors complete hundreds of training hours before being approved to teach, and attend annual seminars and instructor camps to maintain and further improve the quality of their teaching.
