Lead Safe World (LSW) is a lead poisoning information and lead contamination testing service run by The Lead Education and Abatement Design (LEAD) Group Incorporated. The Lead Education and Abatement Design Group Incorporated aims to eliminate lead poisoning globally and to ensure that the ecosystem is protected from lead in all its uses. As a registered Health Promotion Charity on the Australian federal Register of Environmental Organisations, The LEAD Group has tax-deductible gift recipient status so all donations above $2 are tax-deductible. Because we believe that knowledge will save you from lead poisoning, we provide information on our website at www.lead.org.au aimed at primary lead poisoning prevention; but also at secondary lead poisoning prevention ie assessment and management of lead sources and pathways once lead poisoning has occured, in order to prevent FURTHER poisoning. Thirdly, we are keen to increase research into the possibility of tertiary lead poisoning prevention - that is, preventing the lead that's already in all of us, from killing us or causing the other ill-effects of lead that are so very very common eg infertility, miscarriage, brain-ageing, balance and hearing problems, osteoporosis and Alzheimers disease. To assist Australian's who want to know how much lead is in their soil or dust or drinking water or toys or ceramicware etc, The LEAD Group sells a DIY-sampling lead test kit which involves you collecting your own samples and sending them to a lab for accurate lead analysis. The LEAD Group then provides recommendations and interpretation with the results so that you can proceed with either primary or secondary lead poisoning prevention and consequently a smarter and longer life for you and your family.
