Doctor of Chiropractic, Patrick Shwaluk, is Canadian trained with 10 years of University and College education and 20 years of clinical experience. He is a Certified Chiropractic Sport Physician who is well know for listening to his patients, giving them a thorough examination, finding out exactly what they need and designing a program of care that suits their individual needs. Chiropractic care has been commonly associated with the treatment of low back pain, neck pain and headaches. Patrick takes a whole body approach, considering the interactions between different parts of the body and provides care for all joints, ligaments, tendons, fascia and muscles including the TMJ, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, chest wall, hips, knees, feet and ankles. Patrick has many years of competitive ice hockey, soccer and beach volleyball experience as a player and a coach. Currently Patrick?s preferred form of exercise is the Tango and other forms of Latin dance. He has a first hand understanding of the mechanisms of injuries and understands that most people need more than an adjustment or a manipulation. Subsequently his practice offers a range of treatments options including the services of Remedial Massage Therapist, a range of nutritional supplements to speed recovery, three different sizes of contoured latex pillows to help facilitate a restful sleep, lumbar supports to ease pain while you sit and the use of a state of the art high tech computerised scanner for the prescription of custom made orthotics to give you more support while you are on your feet. The practice also offers safe and effective exercises for spinal flexibility and stability to help patients learn how to move in safe and strong ways.
