Situated in unique tropical surroundings around a natural formed rock pool, 20 metres from the north end of the 14 kilometres of palm fringed sand, which is Mission Beach. Tastefully decorated rooms are designed to capture the cooling tropical breeze - all have televisions, air conditioning and fans. The Longhouse Licensed Restaurant offers a relaxed atmosphere in a tropical beachfront setting.Mission Beach is a pleasant two hour drive south of Cairns, past the highest mountain in Queensland, and two and a half hours north of Townsville. It is situated in World Heritage Rainforest with well marked walking tracks into the home of that rare bird - the Cassowary.The Great Barrier Reef is only a short distance from the shores where you can enjoy the pristine reef at Beaver Cay.
