Aquila Yoga is named after the Aquila Constellation, which can be seen in the Australian skies from July until September. Aquila is Latin and translates to eagle, which is pictured in the Aquila Yoga logo. The idea of naming Laura's yoga business after a constellation came from her Grandpa's sail boat names, which were all based on constellations. Laura is a passionate individual who loves to learn and loves to share what she learns. Laura dabbled in a bit of Yoga and Pilates through books she borrowed from her local library in her early teens, it wasn't however until 2013, when she was 18 months into battling a knee injury she really discovered the power of Yoga. Laura fell in love with Yoga and the holistic approach her new physiotherapist and yoga teacher provided. Vinyasa and Yin Yoga played a huge role in Laura's road to recovery and the continued maintenance of her knees today. A complete practice of yoga has allowed Laura to return to the activities she previously regularly enjoyed including rock climbing, horse riding and running. Yoga has made such a difference in Laura's life both physically and mentally that she wanted to share it with others and in 2014 completed her Yoga Teacher Training through SOULution's 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training and shortly after this she completed her Kids Yoga Teacher trained through Rainbow Kids Yoga.
