History Underground Hair is Adelaide's longest running salon. In 1963 Tony Caruso left Sicily bound for Australia where he quickly established himself as Adelaide's number 1 barber at Scott's Barber Shop in Rundle Street (now Rundle Mall) In 1967 Tony opened his own hair salon, the first men's shop to Have wash basins & branch away from 'just the barber shop mentality' Tony also styled hair which was something no one else did back then for men. Business flourished from 3 chairs to 12 with personalised service & old fashioned hard work. In 1980 he switched to Ladies, relocated further down the Mall to Underground's current site at 95 Rundle Mall downstairs opposite the iconic silver balls. Davide, his son joined him in 1986. After his apprenticeship Davide made his own mark in Adelaide and now runs the salon the old traditional way
