PUGHOUSE STUDIOS was designed by renowned acoustic designer Dave Flett and has been built to the highest specifications. Our studio is equipped with state of the art microphones, preamps and outboard gear. The wonderful Pfeiffer grand piano, a true asset with its rich and powerful sound, was built in Germany in the 1930's and has been passed down through generations of the Schauble family. Niko Schauble has many decades of experience as a musician, composer, producer and engineer and knows how important a relaxed atmosphere is to allow creativity to flow freely. Dave Flett's design has created a world class studio that already has some of Melbourne's top musicians raving about the Great Vibes and Great Sounds His layout of the space ensures eye contact between all performers, even when playing in acoustically isolated rooms. Our services cover recording, mixing and mastering, as well as composition, arrangement and production. Niko's continuing collaborations with Australia's top artists gives clients access to some of the best musicians around. We are located close to the Melbourne CBD with easy access to the Eastern Freeway, on-site parking and free parking in Matisi St. Bumping in and out is easy due to the ground floor access through the roller door. Drummers especially will love the fact that it is a mere 2 metres from the car boot to the drum room!
