Shelley came from a background rich in life experiences, before choosing to specialise in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her orthodox training involved a Bachelor's Degree from Monash University in Botany, a Graduate Diploma in Women's Health and Ph D from the University of Melbourne. Shelley approaches her practise by considering the health and well-being of the whole person. Rather than suppressing symptoms, she aims to identify the underlying cause, so that long term change can be sustainable with less reliance on intense treatment. Following a thorough assessment, a treatment plan will be formulated using options chosen from the many different branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine- in particular she used acupuncture, Chinese medicine, Chinese dietary recommendations, lifestyle education to assist preventative choices, exploring body-mind relationship.
