Welcome. I have a strong passion for acupuncture and I experience daily its ability to assist in regulating the body into a state of balance and harmony. I specialise in the use of palpation and fine needles to create flow in the meridians and through doing so create the space for healing to take place. In my practice I employ an effective results based palpatory style of acupuncture that is based on the Chinese classics with modern additions. With a gentle needling technique and always cross-checking the effectiveness of the acu-points chosen, treatment is always a dynamic and enjoyable experience for those I treat and myself. I address a range of conditions and provide information on my website in quite a lot of detail as to how I view certain pathologies, as well as key areas/concepts I focus on in order to effectively relieve them. I have a keen interest in Pain conditions/Pain management (acute to chronic) involving muscle, tendon, fascia, bone, or organ. (i.e. lower back pain, carpal tunnel, to hepatomegaly) As well as Women's health conditions from dysmenorrhea (painful menstruation), menorrhagia (heavy/prolonged menstruation), amenorrhea (no menstruation), anovulation (primary/secondary), Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, and Endometriosis. I believe that the menstrual cycle is a direct reflection of the neuro-endocrine balance of the individual and much more, thus it is of paramount importance to regulate as its effects can be far reaching. Endocrine disorders from hypothyroid function, hyperthyroidism, adrenal fatigue, and pancreas issues. I would like to stress that acupuncture treats the whole individual and thus I treat all who present to my clinic from both a constitutional perspective (root) as well as a symptomatic (branch) perspective. It is truly a whole treatment, hence regardless of the condition or symptomatic presentation I will always endeavour to treat the person and subsequently relieve the disharmony/symptoms.
