State of Mind is operated on the philosophy that everybody has the ability to create the world they want to live in, so my role is to facilitate the changes that people want to make. For the past 4 years I have been assisting people from our community to better themselves by stopping smoking, or to shed those unwanted kilo's and live a happier and healthier life. Others come in and go on a journey of self discovery; finding a way to shed their past which enables them to be in the now to create the future they want. Or there are those that just want to make some small but meaningful changes, like being less anxious or working towards overcoming depression, one step at a time. Even if everything is going well in your world but you just want to make sure you are getting the most out of yourself like a lot of sports people I work with do, State of Mind is for you. No matter where you are from or what is happening in your life right now, State of Mind is the place where you can come to create your own space to work in where there is no judgement, no pressure and no expectations. Here there is just support, understanding and guidance to help you to find the best pathway into a happier future. I am an accredited clinical hypnotherapist, but hypnotherapy is just one tool that I use in my practise. A lot of change can be made by working with the subconscious mind, but I recognise thats not for everyone so I also do counselling on a conscious level for those that just like to talk about things. I work with children as little as 5 to help them sleep better, teens having difficulty at school with bullying, self esteem or exams, adults not managing themselves so needing coping mechanisms like gambling, food, alcohol or drugs/cigarettes. Basically I help people to not be 'stuck' in an experience and help them to move on to better things in life, and it is something Im very passionate about doing.
