Dames of Distinction is one part vintage beauty salon and one part vintage lingerie boutique. We cater to those whom appreciate old word aesthetics and sensibilities in addition to those whom gravitate towards the offbeat and hidden emporiums of Melbourne. Dames is located in the Mitchell House, a gorgeous Art Deco building in the Melbourne CBD. The Perfect setting for it shop as it strongly draws upon the glamour of yesteryear. There was a time when women would invest in undergarments of quality and perfect fit, along with visiting the beauty salon on a weekly basis. They didn't forget about the finishing touches which completed those iconic looks which we all know and love. That's what we're about. The finishing touches. In the lingerie boutique they'll be measured and assisted in finding the most suitable foundation garments from our selection of Rago, What Katie Did and even some original deadstock pieces. In the beauty salon you can make an appointment with our in-house hair and make up stylist who specialises in vintage looks circa 1920-1960, or even sign up for a workshop to learn how to do your own fabulous vintage hairstyles. In addition to this, we even take bookings for special events whether it be a birthday, ladies afternoon tea or a hens party. Each person that comes to our playground can be assured that we'll take care of them, providing that good old fashioned customer service which often includes a friendly chat, tea and cake. - Opening Hours:
