Central Highlands Community Legal Centre is a not-for-profit organisation that provides free legal advice, information and community legal education to people who live, work or study in the Central Highlands Region. Our Mission: To serve the people of the Central Highlands Region, who are disadvantaged in their access to justice. Central Highlands Community Legal Centre will work towards identifying and addressing inequalities in the law that have an impact on our Community. Our services include Family Violence Duty Lawyers, a Community Legal Education Worker to run Community Law Workshops and Seminars and 'Self-help' divorce support and a resource library. We offer free and confidential legal advice in the following areas: * Family Law * Family Violence * Criminal Law/Police Matters * Road Traffic Offences/Fines * Youth Law * Centerlink Problems * Neighbourhood Disputes * Motor Vehicle Accidents * Debts/Consumer Credit * Victims of Crime * Discrimination/Equal Opportunity * Simple Wills * Powers of Attorney (Advice given by appointment only. Appointments can be face-to-face at Ballarat or Outreach, or telephone appointments.)
