Set on 12 acres of farmland with panoramic views, River Farm Lodge is located in Boorolite / Merrijig, a 15 minute drive to the base of Mt Buller or 10-13 minutes drive into the nearest town of Mansfield (situated just 2 hours north-east of Melbourne). We are within walking distance to the Delatite River and its numerous popular fishing spots and summer swimming holes. The accommodation is semi-detached from the main farmhouse and is positioned at the rear of the property overlooking paddocks and mountain views. The loft-style apartment is set on 2 levels and is self-contained with a separate entrance, private deck equipped with BBQ, overlooking the gorgeous view and a private outdoor seating area. Sleeping facilities consist of 1 Queen Bed, 2 Single Beds and 1 Double Bed (quality Italian-made sofa couch). Max Guests 6. River Farm Lodge is affordable off-mountain accommodation, positioned a stroll away from the Delatite River. We have a small herd of sheep, lambs and alpacas. Nestled amongst lush, peaceful gardens, the property overlooks a rocked-walled private dam, stocked with trout, encircled by trees and plants. If you are a bird lover, then you will love strolling along the tranquil grounds and spotting a variety of native birds including King Parrots, Rainbow Lorikeets, Blue Wrens, Kookaburras and other wildlife. We run a daily hand-feeding session for the birds and alpacas, which you or your kids are welcome to join. River Farm Lodge is a family-run business. Our family of four live in the main farmhouse. We welcome other families, couples, single travellers or international visitors to explore the grounds and enjoy a relaxing time at River Farm Lodge.
