What we do when we test your appliances: Appliances are powered down (anyone who claims they can test and tag your appliances without unplugging it is cheating you and tag will be invalid), visually inspected, tested, with a "PAT" Portable Appliance Tester, to check earth continuity, insulation, earth/leakage, polarity ETC. Once passed, the equipment is tagged with the date of the test and when next test is due, a reminder is sent before next due date. A test report is generated and sent for your compliance and records.
