April cottage offer the best of in house hospitality, as soon as you stop in the wide driveway with 5 car off street parking, take in the peaceful surroundings, you know you are in for something special. April Cottage was built as a sea side holiday cottage over half a century ago in the sleepy little of Mt Eliza, one hour from Melbourne CBD. The Mt Eliza village now boasts boutique shopping with top designer brand sold in the shops and as the area became more popular and populated, expansion was inevitable. The little sea side holiday cottage purchased by the current owners in the mid 1970s undertook a extension program in the mid 1990s to include 2 extra guest rooms, one with an ensuite and the other with a private bathroom. Both rooms open out to a large guest lounge room with all the amenities including internet, wide screen TV, breakfast bar [ gourmet breakfast basket supplied] and a bar fridge. Location, location, situated in the bushy green belt between Nepean highway and the beach in a street with less than 10 houses, you won't find quieter accommodation. Peninsula bus line bus stop is 2 minutes' walk with buses going south as far as Portsea or 10 min into Frankston train station for Melbourne connection. The beach is a 10 minute walk and the Mt Eliza village a 15 minute walk along a newly constructed walk way or you can do the circuit to the beach then continue along the sandy beach to the yacht club and on to the Mt Eliza village. Why not relax in one of the many coffee shops or enjoy a cool drink at the tavern. If you want to venture further afield Mt Eliza is at the door step of the Mornington Peninsula , within a hour drive you can be on one of the most prestigious golf courses in Victoria. Or you can chose to surf the big waves at Gunumatta surf beach or taste wine at a boutique winery or relax in the hot mineral springs.
