Our school is built on a simple philosophy; music is for everyone. Our school was founded by career musicians who live to share their love of music with the next generation. Our staff are all active in the field of entertainment, and represent the cream of musicianship in this country. They play in bands ranging from Dan Sultan's rock and roll to the unstoppable pop of Jackson Jackson and The Cat Empire. Between us, our staff have toured internationally and cut double platinum selling records. We have played and sung on movie soundtracks and ARIA award nominated records, and shared credits and stages with legends of music from Delta Goodrem to Dan Sultan. We are forever grateful to the people in our lives who taught us not only the love of music, but the skills to achieve our dreams, and now it's time for us to give back. We have founded Jayka Academy of Music to pass the torch onto a new generation. Enrolments are now open for the class of 2010. At Jayka, we offer opportunity for children on the urban fringe to benefit from the experience of the community that have made Melbourne one of the musical capitals of the world.
