I am different from most tutors you will find advertised. For starters, I am young yet still experienced having tutored other students in my street for the past 3 years. Also, given I graduated in 2009, I understand the current curriculum from a student's perspective, not just that of an experienced teacher or tutor. As I physically took all mid-year and end-of-year exams in the subjects I tutor in 2009, I can also give first-hand advice on exam preparation and exam completion techniques as well as time-management under exam conditions. I received perfect scores of 50 in both Biology and Further Mathematics as well as scores of 46 in Chemistry and 44 in Mathematical Methods (non-CAS). This helped me achieve a near-perfect ENTER of 99.70 More importantly, this was not achieved by confining myself to my study for two whole years. In fact, I worked at both McDonald's and Il Borgo restaurant during year 11 and 12 as well as playing weekly sport and going out at least once on the weekend. This kind of work-life balance is a valuable life skill I can also help your teenager achieve. I tutor in Biology and Chemistry at VCE units 1-4 at a standard rate of $40/hr and will also provide students with the subject-specific and general techniques I found most useful during VCE. I will also provide tutoring for mathematics from years 7-10 which can help set up a student for future success.
