MUM'S WORD - REVIEW FROM MORNINGTON PENINSULA KIDS 'My 8mth old son has never been a good sleeper, and now added with teething, getting him down at night can be a nightmare, (during the day is not much better). So when the opportunity to review a new lullaby baby sleep music CD was offered, I jumped at the chance. I was so excited when the CD arrived in the post that I set up an old discman with computer speakers in his room, as I didn't have a portable CD player. He has his night bottle in his cot with a pillow as he gets too distracted if he is anywhere else, so I thought I would start the music then to see how he reacts. Normally, we then get him up after his bottle for 10mins to let his milk settle as we usually then have a fight on our hands and would rather the milk not to end up all through his sheets. I was surprised when there was no fussing to let me know he'd finished his bottle. When I entered the room, he was sound asleep with the bottle in his arms. I removed the bottle and the pillow and he was down for the night. He woke at 5:30am for a nappy change and again I put the music on to get him back to sleep, he slept through till I woke him a quarter past 7am. It's not a miracle cure for non-sleepers, I'm not saying that, but the music is beautiful and calming and goes for the perfect amount of time to allow the baby to drift into a deep slumber.
