John Linley is an emerging Melbourne based photographer; after spending his childhood moving around John calls Melbourne home now. John served with the Australian Army from 2004-2008 where he was deployed to Iraq for 7 months; while been deployed he realised his passion for photography grew stronger. He discharged from the Australian Army in 2008 and followed his passion in photography capturing candid style portraits of family and friends before deciding to study at Photography Studies College. John has his Commercial Major in photography specialising in Domestic Portraiture, Maternity, Newborns & Architecture. John has entered a number of awards where he was ranked in the top 50 in the world with the International Aperture Awards in 2010. He also received a Silver award with the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP). John's approach is relaxed & controlled - his unique style allows him to capture the best images which stem from his approach.
