Welcome to Baby and Soul! Baby & Soul teaches the wonderful strokes & techniques of Infant massage accompanied by the tuneful sounds of singing. Both these soothing techniques benefit both parents and their baby's to keep in touch and in tune with one another and promote good health and wellbeing. Baby and Soul understands baby's cues and communication and together we share and delight in one another's babies and learn the techniques of touch communication and voice. Baby massage and singing are strong bonding tools. It calms, relaxes and settles baby and promotes beautiful engaging moments to share and treasure forever. The Baby and Soul 5 week course takes place in a beautiful relaxed studio in Caulfield North. The environment is warm and nurturing and this is where baby's communication and cues are understood and valued. Together we appreciate, share and delight in one another's babies and learn the techniques of touch communication and voice. At Baby and Soul we focus on valuable topics related to baby massage - the benefits of massage and singing are discussed, we learn when to massage a baby and about the optimum massage environment & which oils to use. The full range of massage techniques, strokes and sequences of Swedish and Indian massage and reflexology are demonstrated. Techniques to relieve the discomfort associated with colic, wind, congestion and constipation are discussed. Playful songs are incorporated into the strokes and a repertoire of lullabies, finger plays and stories are enjoyed together. The course comprises 5 one hour sessions of 4-5 parents. The group dynamics and interaction provides parents with support and friendship. Private lessons can be accommodated by arrangement. Baby and Soul can visit your home or playgroup.
