Description: At Thornlie Medical Centre (TMC) we treat all our patients as people, not just as disease states. From our friendly front staff to our experienced family doctors we will provide you with caring environment to help you get better quicker. At TMC we believe that being healthy is more than just being free from disease. It is about living life to its fullest both mentally and physically. We place a large emphasis on PREVENTING problems such as diabetes and skin cancer, and achieve this by taking the time to educate our patients and regularly monitoring for early signs. As always, PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN A CURE. We have a special interest in skin cancer diagnosis and management, women's and children's health, preventative medicine, family planning, musculoskeletal medicine, worker's compensation, cosmetic medicine. Dr John Ku Graduated from Sydney University in 2002 and has been a Fellow of the RACGP since 2004. Before studying medicine Dr Ku was working as a physiotherapist and is still a qualified, licensed physio. Dr Ku has a special interest in skin conditions from skin cancer diagnosis and mangement to acne. He has done a Diploma of Dermatology from Cardiff University, a Diploma of Skin Cancer Medicine and is currently studying towards a Fellowship from the Australasian College of Skin Cancer Medicine. Dr Ku has also completed a Diploma of Children's Health is passionate about preventative medicine. Dr Sandra Lok Graduated from University of WA in 2000 and has been a Fellow of the RACGP since 2004. Dr Lok has completed a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and is constantly keeping up to date with the latest in family planning, contraception and all aspects of women's health. Dr Lok has also completed the Diploma of Dermatology from Cardiff University and has a special interest in skin cancer detection and management.
