Probably the worst martial arts gym in Perth, claims to be teaching Krav Maga but only teaches it for half an hour once a week out of the three training sessions he provides. The black belt he offers you after you have completed your 100 sessions (yeah that’s right he gives belts out based on how much money and how many classes you attend) he gives you a black belt, but not in Krav Maga but in his made up bullshitzu martial art which he doesn’t tell you that when you start training there, leaving you to think your gonna get your black belt in Krav Maga, that way he can make money off you for something you didn’t even sign up/pay him for; and if you ask him about it and that you would just like a black belt in Krav Maga he will tell you that you need to attend at least 300 sessions until he gives you what you actually payed for, not to mention that some of his methods are outdated and that he refuses to update his system because it’s his way or the highway. To get graded for each belt you have to just kick or punch a pad and get a specific number of power behind your kick/punch which is not how grading works, it’s based off skill of the actual martial art so in this case Krav Maga, therefore the grading should be based on disarming of knives, guns and basic self defence in a Krav Maga sense, hitting pads is not the main focus in Krav Maga. He is overly prized and his personal PT sessions cost $100 an hour, only top professionals charge this much, which he definitely is not one. If you then decide to leave the “academy” and go train at another Krav Maga facility (especially if it is one of his former instructors training) he will demean you and post negative stuff about you online via Facebook posts naming who you are and screenshotting your profile for everyone to see after he’s blocked you on everything that way you cannot defend yourself, so in other words once you go to his gym you have to stay there forever.
