AVOID THIS JEWELLER. Michael Cook re-made my wedding ring. He quoted me for a heavy platinum frame with channel set diamonds. He then made a thin frame, kept most of the platinum for himself, and set my diamonds. The diamonds were set appallingly badly and were in some cases poking through the bottom of the setting. They were too big for the ring setting and did not fit. When I expressed my concerns he refused to re-make the ring and refused to give me a refund. In addition to this, he was meant to re-size my engagement ring. When I went to collect the ring, Michael had \'lost\' the ring and tried to give me a much smaller engagement ring that was jumbled up with loads of others in his scruffy workshop. I lost the cost of having the ring made i.e several thousand dollars in this transaction and nearly lost my 1.5 carat engagement ring when Michael claimed he couldn\'t find it.
Not got enough!Posted at 2016-07-05 15:45:57
Hopeless! Made a special trip into the city to see him (an hour\'s drive) and he could have cared less about what I wanted. He was too busy talking about complete nonsense to be honest. His workshop is disgusting! Messy, dirty and completely disorganised. He said he would follow up what I wanted, after 4 follow up messages from me he said he would get back to me when he heard... 6 months later- STILL have not heard a word. Absolutely disgraceful service! You just lost yourself thousands, Michael. Shape up!
