AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! I went in to have my measurements taken by the owner for the wedding dress to send to a boutique in America that was making my dress, I was charged $20 for him to take my measurements. When the dress arrived it was 4 dress sizes too big. Granted I have lost some weight in prep for the wedding but not 4 sizes!!! So I went back into NFS to have the alterations done to fit me. I was told that the reason the dress was so big was the dress maker\'s fault. The dress maker went off the measurements that Shahfam wrote down. With the first fitting Shahfam said that I overpaid for my dress and he doesn\'t think it was worth it. I wish I left at this point after that insult. He pinned the bodice of my dress and I was to come back in 2 weeks to have the hem done. When I went for the hem I had to take my 10 month old daughter with me because I didn\'t have anyone that could look after her. Unfortunately she cried the entire time as I was having the dress pinned. In the end I had to hold her to calm her down and I thought the bodice had been pinned again as it was still too big. At the next fitting (2 weeks later) I went alone. To my shock the hem was severly crooked and the dress didn\'t have any shape at my waist. When I pointed this out to Shahfam he said that it wasn\'t like that last time and that I must have lost weight. The dress had to be taken in a further 3cm on either side. I wish I had lost that much weight in 2 weeks as he suggested I did. He said he didn\'t have anytime to fix it. He suggested that I eat more to put on several kilos for it to fit. I was so upset. I said that I couldn\'t walk down the aisle with the way the dress looked. Shahfam then said he might be able to do a quick fix. This solution also meant that the dress wouldn\'t look like it was supposed to. Shahfam said he would text me on Wednesday night if he had time to do his quick fix. I needed the dress by Thursday morning. My friends and partner could not believe the nightmare that was my experience at NFS. So my friend put me onto a dress maker to have the dress done properly (and she did an incredible job!!). My partner then went to pick up the dress to have it done professionally. Shahfam said he did a great job and stands by his work and refused to give my partner a receipt of his work (incredibly illegal not to provide a receipt) andrefused to give any form of refund of his $280 cost. After talking to another dressmaker and a clothing store who used to use him for alterations until he ruined a wedding party, that I realised he has a terrible reputation. Do yourselves a favour and do not use this business unless you want your clothes damaged and to potentially ruin your wedding day.
