I was given an appointment at Cygnet Clinic at 11am, or so I was led to believe. It turns out it was actually for 10. I arrived at the place in time for the last twenty minutes of my session. For their incompetence I was expected to pay for a full 50 minute session ($185). I handed over $100 saying I only received half a session. The receptionist thinking I was dull-witted tried to make me pay the amount Medicare doesn\'t refund ($60.50). I said I should be paying $30.25. I left my hundred and just got out of there - to hell with Medicare. To hell with the Cygnet Clinic.

Over a day ago I contacted OzPostcode to try and have my original review/ comment removed. I haven\'t heard back yet. The issue alluded to in that post was the result of a misunderstanding. In fact a member of staff rang me in her own free time and we had a detailed talk about what went down, our own personal reactions and solutions for some sort of resolution. By the way, I did get my money back and the receptionist wasn\'t at fault. She had no authority in the financial aspects of the clinic and was only trying to do her job.

Psychological manipulation and an eagerness to try and combat depression were a key factor in comment two. I am left with a bitter aftertaste as a result of my liaison. I was cheated but received the money I was due after a year and a half. more d-tails : mynameisstomp.blogspot.com/2018/06/psychology-greed-stupidity.html

Maybe things happen for a reason or you learn to adapt. Who can really say? The thing is after having dealt with these people and having to go it alone, I went within to my very core and built myself up from the inside out. I got stronger and more confident even as I felt the burden and shame of thinking I was responsible for the therapist that was assigned to me had lost their position. I found out later through another that this was a falsehood on the clinic\'s part and it was basically just to save their own backsides from a possible report by myself making it\'s way to Medicare about their dealings. Two and a half years I felt guilt, shame and self-loathing all because these caregivers felt no qualms about throwing someone else under the bus if it didn\'t affect their standing in the community. I understand the statute of limitations in this country for Medicare misuse runs out after six years. Will I contact them? No, I am stronger. I am more confident. I am doing diploma-level studies at the moment and I think it\'s all a result of how horrible these people are. How bizarre. At least the burden and shame lifted when I found out what they had done and contacted them at Easter. May our paths never cross again. Terry 17th October, 2020 I didn\'t mention in any of the previous posts that I handed my Medicare card over nine times and had ten claims on it. I was later accused of extortion when trying to retrieve what was rightfully mine.
