The Bribie Island Community Weight Loss Challenge is a 10 week course run 6-7pm Wed. evenings within the B.I. Community Arts Centre.  It combines the education &amp; support you need to achieve safe &amp; long term weight loss with a bit of friendly, fun, community competition.

Each wk the participants meet their weight loss coach to record their weight (don't worry, it takes a few secs &amp; you don't need to get undressed!) and to listen to a talk in a group setting on 1 of 12 educational topics on diet &amp; nutrition.

It's open to anyone over 18 regardless of what weight loss method you wish to use to lose your weight.

Each participant pays a fee of $49 for the 10 wk course. Each class has around 20-25 participants with a small portion of the fees going toward the admin. costs. photocopying, healthy food samples, spot prizes etc, the rest goes into a prize fund for the 3 biggest losers (based on % body weight lost).

The prize fund* based on 25 participants, is  $ 400 for 1st place, $ 300 for 2nd place &amp; $ 150 for 3rd place.
Plus we give a prize to reward the biggest cm loser not in the top 3.
* Prizes based on 25 participants &amp; are relative to the number of participants.

Each participant also gets a free 1:1 wellness evaluation and body analysis consultation at the start of the challenge -a great starting point to know ones visceral fat %, body fat, hydration levels, muscle %, bone wgt, basal metabolic rate and Metabolic Age.  You'll be amazed at the changes you can cause over the 10weeks!
