Let's face it, when someone approaches you about Insurance most people cringe and want to run away and hide from that person who dared mention that horrible word INSURANCE. Most of think, it's just another bill I have to find money for and HEY!!! I never get sick so why pay money to a company when I feel so great. Mmmm... Yep I thought exactly that myself but the cold hard truth is, sickness can strike us down when we least expect.
I never thought in a million years that at 26 I would be diagnosed with Cancer but I was and almost lost my life, I never thought that I would have a car accident and end up in bed for 2 and 1/2 years recovering, I never thought my Liver would be so over-loaded from toxins that it almost shut down or I would get abscesses under my arm that poisoned my blood stream and almost took my life, I never thought, over the years I would lose so many friends, family members or fellow Hairdressers to Cancer but I did &amp; non of us were old, actually the youngest was 18 yrs old.
Statistics show that 1 in 3 of us will get some form of Cancer or Heart problem in our lifetime so please don't for a minute think it WON'T HAPPEN TO YOU, sorry, sickness doesn't care who you are or how much money you have. So I urge you to please think seriously about Personal Sickness Insurance because trying to find money for treatments when you are sick is even more stress that you don't need when recovering.
I lost 2 of my Hair and Beauty salons due to illness but if someone took the time to show me, that for just a few $$ a week I could get sickness insurance and be getting benefits to see me through those times I was seriously ill, I probably wouldn't have lost my businesses OR my job when working for an employer.
