Dr Lai has extensive academic and surgical expertise in Cataract and Glaucoma management as well as an active interest in the treatment of Macular Degeneration using state-of-the-art ophthalmic equipment, with the aim of achieving ophthalmic excellence for each individual patient.

Dr. Lai was awarded a Royal Australian &amp; New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO) postgraduate scholarship to complete an internationally renowned surgical fellowship in Glaucoma and Anterior Segment Surgery, in Toronto, Canada.

Dr. Lai has sub-specialized in complex Cataract surgery and Glaucoma surgery (including Minimal Invasive Glaucoma and Femtosecond Laser-assisted Cataract Surgery).

She was the first female Ophthalmologist to perform bladeless LenSx Laser-assisted Cataract surgery in WA.
