Learn the soothing art of baby massage from a qualified infant massage instructor and enjoy the experience. Small group classes over four weeks will teach you how to give your baby a full body massage as well as learn your baby's body language. You will learn which massage oils are most beneficial to your baby and when the best time for massage occurs in a baby's daily cycle. Through baby massage, first-time parents can gain confidence in giving plenty of positive touch to their infants. Massage is easily incorporated into a baby's daily routine and will be something enjoyed and looked forward to by both of you. The physical and emotional benefits of baby massage promote the parent/infant bond. Fathers can gain the skin-to-skin contact that mothers most often experience during breastfeeding. Additional proven benefits to be gained include: - Relaxation (for both parent and baby) - Body awareness - Communication - Boosting of the immune system - Soothing and settling - Deeper sleep - Aiding of digestion Promotes: - Healthy attitude towards touch Can relieve: - Colic, painful wind and constipation All of these benefits can be gained by something as simple as touch! In addition to group classes, Baby Bliss offers private sessions in your home. This setting can be very conducive to getting the most out of your sessions by providing familiar surroundings and correct timing for massage to occur. Babies are only little for a short while; make the most of this time with a love-affirming gift that will last a lifetime. All techniques and massage sequences are as prescribed by the Infant Massage Services of Australia (established in 2000).
