Bowen therapy is a light, safe, musculoskeletal technique that is applied over specific points on the body, to reset, realign and balance the body. Musculo-skeletal is the relationship that muscles have on bone structure, through weak and compensating muscles, muscles move bone. Bowen stimulates the body to heal and align itself naturally through relaxing the nervous system, releasing muscular tension, ligaments, and tendons. Bowen therapy relaxes nervous impulse and pain receptor messages which has a positive affect on the entire body, including internal organs. Bowen Therapy is deeply relaxing and beneficial for a wide range of conditions. A session takes up to an hour and can be performed over light clothing (loose sportswear is recommended). Usually only three visits are required for most ailments but up to six visits for multiple or chronic problems.
