Bowen therapy is a remedial body technique that is extremely gentle and relaxing. It triggers the bodys own healing resources, resulting in fast and lasting relief. Rather than focusing on healing the symptoms, Bowen Therapy focuses on the sources of the injuries by addressing the entire body. A Bowen therapy session involves one or more procedures, each of which consist of several sets of moves. Between each set of moves, the practitioner pauses for as many minutes (average of 3 minutes) as are needed for the clients body to begin responding. After the nervous system begins to adjust the tension level in the muscles, the client is ready for the next set of moves. Bowen therapy can help with a wide range of situations.
