Yuliya Richard is a fully registered psychologist who has been gaining knowledge and experience for the past 12 years. Yuliya brings a caring and practical approach to her counselling services. Over the years she has worked with people who experience difficulties managing their mental and physical health, searching for ways to overcome adversities in their personal and professional lives, and helped them to reach their goals. Yuliya helps people who are in distress, have encountered difficulties in their relationships, are struggling to perform at work or are simply feeling overwhelmed, and who are willing to change their current situation but are not sure how. The initial session usually includes discussing presenting problem, the outcome you would like to achieve, setting goals and planning for further therapeutic work together. Subsequent sessions will focus on understanding the root of the problems, learning practical skills, strategies and techniques to help you to overcome your identified issues and achieving your desired goals. Successful outcome of the therapy will depend on a number of factors; your honesty with yourself and with the therapist, the desire to change, your willingness to step outside your comfort zone and the effort you put in outside the therapy sessions. The progress of the therapy will be monitored on a regular basis and the intervention approach will be altered if needed to ensure the effectiveness of the therapy.
