Karen Sivyer is a consulting psychologist with over 25 years' experience as a psychologist/counsellor. She has been previously employed in community health and community mental health centres and in Employee Assistance programs for various organisations, as well as in private practice. Karen has previously held positions as critical incident stress debriefer for the Griffith/Leeton regional area and as consulting psychologist with the Rehabilitation Unit, Griffith Base Hospital. Karen is experienced in treating a wide variety of presenting problems including: depression, anxiety, stress, anger, relationship, chronic pain, posttraumatic stress, phobias and grief and loss. She has been trained in and utilizes a number of therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioural therapy, Mindfulness, gestalt, narrative, interpersonal, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).
