Conveniently located on the main street of The Entrance, The Book Exchange has been doing business for over fifty years. The Book Exchange is open Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm, Saturday 10am to 3:30pm, and Sunday 11am to 3pm. Hours are usually longer during the school holidays and other busy seasons. The store is sometimes closed due to the store manager being unavailable. Cash or a combination of cash and books as payment are equally welcome. The Book Exchange is a cosy, well lit, airy store. It is air conditioned. The Book Exchange lacks the dusty and musty scent that is all too common in many used book stores. It has a very pleasant scent that changes every day because of scented soy wax melts that are made by the owner. The melts and oil burners are also available for sale. The melts come in more than thirty distinct fragrances. The books are sold in the standard genres: humour, romance, true crime, horror, fantasy/ science fiction, children s, and more. The books are well organized, and it is easy to find what you are looking for without difficulty. The book store is usually staffed by Nancy, the store owner and manager. Nancy has been in the book business for years. She can tell you where any book in the store is located because she put it there. If she doesn't have the book you are looking for, she can find you a similar book. Do you have a lot of books on your book shelf that you are not likely to read again? The Book Exchange will accept any book of any age or genre so long as it is not torn or moldy you will receive half off any single book purchase for every book you bring into the store. Some smaller older books will only earn one third off the price of more popular books. New best sellers for sale at the store are not discounted, but still priced less than at other retail outlets. If you are lucky, Rocky the dog, Nancy's pet and the store mascot, will come out to greet you.
