Capoeira Angola is the traditional art form born in Bahia from the African slaves brought to Brazil to work on the fields during the 16th century. The movements of Capoeira Angola are commanded by the music and the singing and like many African rituals is learned from a Master who passes his practical knowledge to his students. The game takes place inside a circle called Roda formed by the players and the orchestra of 8 instruments. In the classes you will learn both the movements, singing and the instruments playing as well as the history and culture behind this amazing practice that is Capoeira Angola.
