Description:
The Meriden Rhythmic Gymnastics Centre is run by Sydney 2000 Olympian Danielle Le Ray. The centre was named 'NSW Rhythmic Gymnastics Club of the Year' for 2006 & 2007. Danielle Le Ray was also awarded as the 'Gymnastics Australia Coach of the Year' for 2007 & 'NSW Coach of the Year' in 2005, 2006 & 2007. The centre is open to students from Meriden School and the general public. Classes are available for girls aged 5-20 years old. Classes are run 6 days per week and are open to all skill levels from recreational through to elite. Training involves a variety of activities including stretching, skipping, dance movements, ballet, circuits, acrobatics and much more. "Rhythmic Gymnastics is a fantastic way to keep fit, improve flexibility, coordination and have fun. The Centre allows the girls to further their talent by being able to compete for their region, NSW and possibly Australia. My many years of competing in Rhythmic Gymnastics have proven to be invaluable and I would like to share my knowledge and enthusiasm of the sport with the gymnastics stars of the future" Danielle Le Ray Head Coach
