My approach to design is inspired by our Australian lifestyle a sophisticated elegance that is also relaxed and comfortable, and reflects the unique personality of the client. Whether its high-end luxury finishes or more informal styles and accessories, I aim to achieve a contemporary, effortless design that creates a room that is beautiful, functional and very livable. Listening to what the client wants and using their own personal pieces that they love, means that the custom-made design becomes a unique statement with long-lasting appeal. Choosing the right colours and textures can have a huge impact on the successful design of a room. I have always favoured natural fibres such as linens, cottons and silks, and sourcing new fabric designers for my clients is one aspect of the job I really enjoy. Different finishes such as wallpaper, metal, stone and glass all add texture and detail to a room. I am also experienced in sourcing the right artwork to complement a room and give it a distinct focus. Susan Tuckwell Interiors has been creating elegant, individual rooms for twelve years in Sydneys North Shore and Eastern Suburbs.
