Animato has an onsite workshop with three sopecially trained experts to set up new instruments and to service older string instruments or repair them. Animato's has direct access to the best makers for violins, violas, cellos and double basses, and therefore Animato's margins are extremely competitive. All imported instruments go through our onsite wirksho before they are displayed in our show rooms in Kelvion Grove so that they can be set up to international standards, no matter how expensive or how cheap the instrument is. This means, entry-level student instruments enjoy the same attention as dearer instruments. Dietrich Lasa founded the business in 1993 when he was still a member of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. He then offerend replacement strings to his colleagues. The business quickly grew and became Australia's largest specialist store for string instruments. Dietrich moved the business from his garage to shop premises in January 1996 and stayed at that address at 109 Musgrave Road in Red Hill until 2011 when the business moved to Kelvin Grove. Dietrich is still running the business together with his Korean partner Jae. Following modern trends, Animato Strings now carries Australia's most comprehensive line of electric strings, including the Phoeniox Performer series of electric instruments that are well received by amateures and professionals alike. - Opening Hours:
