So here’s my review on RSI Fencing & Landscaping. We hired him after a measure and quote feeling confident he knew what he was doing considering he had a Qbcc license. Very early October the gates and extra palings were installed (by his young workers) and everything seemed great. During this early process, he made himself available to us via phone, text or email without hesitation even returning calls. Gates were built, added palings were installed and we paid him in full. Roughly 2 weeks later on the 25th of October we discovered the latch was catching during opening and closing and we put that down to being something that “just happens”. Upon further inspection, we noticed where the hinges were attached to the side post had split the wood both top and bottom (came to find out they didn’t pre-drill the holes in the wood) and the other side was missing 3 out of the six screws on the hinges. On the other side of the house we noticed 3 palings had popped out too. That same evening, we emailed RSI fencing and told him our concerns and included pictures since he did say, “any problems, let us know”. The experience we had in trying to get him out was at the very least frustrating, there was excuse after excuse, I’m busy etc. On the early morning of the 7th of November he showed up and had a look at the gates and claimed because of the double palings on the fence is what caused the problem and he had warned us, yet he also said that if we paid extra for the stronger frame we wouldn’t have any problems. I have kept all the correspondence including his hostile texts claiming he has a busy schedule and doesn’t have time to text or talk to me. Twice he told me “the boys will be out next week”, so we made arrangements to be here and lock the dogs on the other side of the house. Needless to say, no one had bothered to show up. We felt as though once he got our money, the customer service disappeared along with that. Our last email to him was on Thursday the 19th of November asking for an update on time frame to fix the problem……..nothing. It’s been one month now since we first brought our concerns to RSI and now my advice is, think twice before you use this business because once he has your money and you have any problems, too bad, you will have to find someone reputable to fix it. We no longer want to deal with him or have him on our property because of this appalling experience.
