At Cairns Community English & Educational Support Services, we believe that the key to individual empowerment,self confidence and independence today is related to a strong sense of understanding English and so we aim to help all people in Cairns with their language learning. Cairns Community English & Educational Support Services provide support for the following individuals and groups: 1. Individuals attending senior high school, TAFE and University. 2. Foreign students and workers in Cairns on VISA or other requirements. 3. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Cairns. 4. Local adults working professionally or academically. The Manager of this Education service has been working in the areas of language, learning and community services since 2001. In that time, he has taught language and literacy internationally, locally and in Indigenous Australia in Far North Queensland. The Manager has qualified experience in welfare, youth services, education and training and in community affairs. He has a Bachelor Degree in Primary Education from University of Wollongong, NSW and is currently completing a Masters of Education at CQU where his major is in Executive Leadership. The following rates apply for general tuition and support: 1. $34 per hour for individual support (additional hours/rates TBA) 2. $43 per hour for weekend support (additional hours/rates TBA) Learning sessions can take place in Cairns, Northern Beaches and south to Gordonvale. We are able to travel to you or can arrange to conduct our sessions at any place that is suitable for you.
