***I am ALSO available for tutoring year levels other than VCE*** I completed VCE English in 2012 and was listed amongst the VCE Top Scorer's for 2012. All my SAC's have been in the A+ range throughout the course of my study and have also been published in the resource book put together by my school for other students. My essays have also been published by one of Australia's leading organisation TSFX (google them for more information) in their own resource books for their students. I have notes from various tutoring organisations, websites, heaps of practice exams, personal notes and sample A+ essays that I will be using in helping my tutee. Each one of my student's will get their own set of notes for their chosen texts. Having recently graduated from the system, I am familiar with the marking of SAC's and the criterion based on which the exam assessors mark exam essays, and hence will be able to provide with you with an insight into how to gain the most possible marks for your work without making silly/avoidable errors. I believe doing well in English is very important for one to do well in Year 12 altogether because VCE English is a part of the primary four subjects that will be counted for the calculation of you ATAR. It is essential that you do well in English because sometimes it is this subject that can give you an edge over the other 40,000 students doing VCE because most students struggle with this subject. I will structure lessons depending on the tutees need. However, I do recommend that the tutee writes an essay every week prior to visiting me so that during the tutoring session I can provide them with constructive feedback, tips on how to make their writing better, give them more ideas etc. because the key to good writing is practice, practice, practice. I have a good study environment at home with a whiteboard, desk and internet access for the student.
