Description: Maalinup Aboriginal Gallery proudly shares the culture and history of the Aboriginal people through art, performance, food and activities right in the heart of Swan Valley, 40 minutes from Perth CBD in the oldest wine growing region of Western Australia. Aboriginal owned and operated by descendants of the Wardandi Bibbulmun people, Dale Tilbrook and her brother Lyall Tilbrook, Maalinup Aboriginal Gallery gives you the opportunity to take in the extraordinary art, activities and food of the Indigenous people of Australia. Our gallery features stunning contemporary and traditional works of local Aboriginal art of the South West. Featured artists include Sheila Humphries, Greg Flahey, Naomi Grant, Phillip Narkle and Primus Ugle. You can purchase beautiful framed and unframed Aboriginal works of art to take home with you! Primus is an elder and custodian of the Wiilmun Bibbulmun people and conducts full day personalised tours of his land, organised through Maalinup Aboriginal Gallery. If you're feeling inspired, you can create your own ochre hand print and learn all about bush tucker cooking! After you've enjoyed the beautiful art and activities on offer, come on and enjoy bush tucker and traditional performance under the stars! Our night time corroboree, 'Kedalak Kening', will mesmerise you with its display of Aboriginal dance, music, song and storytelling.
