Claremont Counselling is a psychology practice offering individual counselling and psychotherapy to adults and adolescents. Jennifer Mummert is the principal psychologist. She has been in full time private practice since 2003. Jennifer provides a confidential, professional counselling & psychotherapy service, helping you to solve issues such as anxiety, stress, depression, grief & loss, trauma, family of origin issues & improving self esteem. The counselling process offers you a safe, quiet space & a relationship with a skilled & empathic listener, enabling you to explore your concerns & feelings in an environment of respect & acceptance. Therapy helps you develop your self awareness, assisting you to recognise patterns in your thoughts & feelings & to understand how they impact on your choices & decisions. Counselling & psychotherapy can be challenging, but the process is very healing & develops a strong sense of self worth. Jennifer is an experienced and qualified psychologist, registered with the Psychology Board of Australia. You do not need a referral to see Jennifer. However, a Mental Health Care Plan & a referral from a GP entitles you to receive a rebate from Medicare for up to 10 sessions a year. Some private health funds will also offer a rebate.
