Looking to get better grades in English? Would you like to improve your command of the English language? Want to know what makes a good essay? Are you a Science/Maths loving student for whom English is a weak point? As a science student myself, I assure you that you don't have to be a gifted literary genius to excel in English.

University of Melbourne National Scholar

During a typical lesson I may cover: 
- Tips for maximising SAC marks 
- Understand the assessment criteria, and how to fulfil them 
- Feedback and marking of essays to help sharpen your language skills and knowledge of structure
- Text response essay planning 
- Brainstorming ideas for a context piece and discussion of form 
- Article annotation for language analysis 
- Specialised writing techniques that are often not taught at school

My base rate is per person is $50 p/h, but is cheaper for groups. Feel free to inquire about discounts for having multiple lessons.
 
Locations include the State Library during the school semester, my house in Wantirna or or even Skype.
 
I also offer an essay marking/proofreading service, which is not limited to VCE essays or pieces. (i.e. grammar/expression correction for assignments, papers etc.) Pricing is dependent on the length of the piece and level of feedback required.

I have tutored students who have gone from receiving low to average marks to the top of their class, as well as some who have received study scores in the high 40s. Please don't hesitate to contact me, you won't be disappointed.
