Description

I am a friendly, approachable and patient female teacher who has a passion for teaching.  I enjoy helping students who experience learning difficulties. I am highly qualified and experienced in the area of literacy and numeracy support as well as teaching English as a second language. I am also a qualified Afrikaans language teacher. I believe in early intervention and use Brain Gym to enhance the learning process.  I like to tutor in my own home, where I have all my resources to hand and where the student can concentrate, without any distractions. I believe that a friendly, one-to-one relationship can build up the student's confidence and encourage learning.

AVAILABILITY:  
Weekdays after school / I am willing to tutor during school hours but that needs to be arranged by the parent with the school at a time that will suit the class teacher.

RATES: 
40 per hour individual lessons
$20 per hour group lessons - 4 or more students

QUALIFICATIONS: 
BA Education &amp; Psychology
Dip ED
Currently studying towards a Post Graduate Certificate in Learning Difficulties
